Lisa's Easy & Delicious Baked Granola
2 1/2 cups Old-Fashioned rolled oats
2 tbs. flaxseed meal (optional)
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 cup chopped walnuts, pecans or almonds
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 tbs. flaxseed meal (optional)
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup raisins, dried cranberries, dried
cherries,
or freeze dried strawberries etc.
Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, combine oats, flaxseed meal, cinnamon, nuts, honey, maple syrup, butter, and vanilla. Mix ingredients until well combined. Spread
granola onto a large
baking pan greased with non-stick cooking spray. Bake for 25-35
minutes, stir the granola
occasionally during the baking process. Remove granola from
oven once done, and stir in the dried fruit. Let
granola cool completely before storing
in airtight
containers in the refrigerator. Serve with almond milk, organic milk,
or other choice of milk.
*Use on top of yogurt or as a snack on it's own!
Note: The
granola may still be sticky when it comes out of the oven but it will
crisp and dry up as
it cools.
*Personally I double or triple this recipe!
